Cathy Habermann (on the right in the photo) is an American cross stitch designer and founder of the brand Hands On Design, launched in 2013.

A passionate embroiderer for many years, she has trained in various techniques (hardanger, counted thread, traditional embroidery), which greatly enriches her creative approach.

Before devoting herself fully to design, she worked in an embroidery shop and then created her own haberdashery, developing patterns and finishing projects alongside.

Her work is characterised by:
• decorative and contemporary designs
• a strong focus on finishing (objects, mounting, accessories)
• a style that is playful, colourful and accessible

She places great importance on teaching, offering numerous tutorials and workshops to guide embroiderers through the making and finishing of their projects.

Her creations are often conceived as complete projects, where the embroidery and the finished object are one and the same.
